Juventus set to end Joshua Zirkzee’s Manchester United nightmare

Italian giant Juventus are prepared to end Joshua Zirkzee’s nightmare at Manchester United as the club chief Cristiano Giuntoli shares a new update.

Zirkzee has struggled to hit the ground running at Manchester United despite scoring on his debut for the Premier League side. The forward has only scored four goals in 27 appearances since signing from Bologna in a deal worth £36 million ($46m) in the summer.

In what was a shocking incident, Zirkzee appeared to be jeered off by his own supporters when substituted in the first half of Monday’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle.

Juventus are now prepared to offer him a return to Italy where he scored 12 goals last season. The club management director Giuntoli is aiming to improve the club’s squad this month and is not ruling out a move for Zirkzee.

Giuntoli said: “Zirkzee? It is not appropriate to mention names but we are keeping an eye on any interesting opportunities.”

Zirkzee’s future is likely to be decided by new United boss Ruben Amorim, who has already shown a ruthless streak by leaving Marcus Rashford out of four consecutive matchday squads last month.

United ate expected to sanction the sale of some first team players and it’s yet to be seen if Zirkzee will be allowed to redeem himself or will be shipped out.
