Top Seria A side fans protest against their players, club management

As the 2023/24 football season edge closer to its conclusion, Seria A side, Lazio are facing a huge difficulties as their fans stage a protest against their players, management.

Lazio were tipped to play a significant role in the Seria A this season, however, things has not being going their way.

The Aquile are coming off back-to-back defeats against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg and bitter rivals Roma in the Derby della Capitale in Serie A.

Ahead of Lazio’s match with Salernitana at the Stadio Olimpico, the home players experienced a very tense atmosphere as they were jeered by their own fans.

Lazio fans made their feelings heard when the squad ran out for the warm-up, loudly jeering the players throughout the preparation.

The ultras in the Curva Nord also aimed insulting chants and banners at the squad, who they blame for a poor campaign, especially compared to securing second place last season.

A banner in the Curva Nord read: ‘You are not worthy to wear OUR shirt.’

Lazio are currently eighth in the Serie A table, nine points adrift of their rivals Roma who are currently in fifth place. It’s left to see if Lazio players will turn up after their fans displeasure.
