Jake Paul Set to Face Anthony Joshua in Blockbuster Boxing Clash on December 19

πŸ₯Š ‘Judgment Day’ Looms: Jake Paul Faces Ultimate Test Against Anthony Joshua in Miami Mega-Fight

MIAMI, FL β€” The world of combat sports is holding its breath as YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake “The Problem Child” Paul prepares for his most audacious challenge yet: a professional heavyweight clash against former two-time unified world champion Anthony Joshua. The blockbuster event, aptly billed as “Judgment Day,” is set for Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

This shocking match-up, confirmed last month, sees the 28-year-old social media star vaulting into the heavyweight division against one of boxing’s most formidable figures.

A Massive Leap for “The Problem Child”

Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), who previously shared the ring with Mike Tyson and defeated former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., is taking an unprecedented leap in both size and caliber of opponent. The heavyweight contest will be a sanctioned professional bout scheduled for eight three-minute rounds, with both fighters wearing 10-ounce gloves.

“This isn’t an AI simulation. This is Judgment Day,” Paul told the media. “A professional heavyweight fight against an elite world champion in his prime. When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears…”

Paul will face a significant physical disadvantage, giving up several inches in height and reach to the towering 6’6″ Joshua. The former Olympic gold medalist is coming back after a 15-month hiatus, following a loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024.

Joshua Vows to “Break the Internet”

For Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), this fight is a unique opportunity to re-establish his dominance and generate massive global attention. A victory over Paul will put him back in the spotlight for potential mega-fights with other heavyweights like Tyson Fury.

Jake or anyone can get this work. No mercy,” Joshua stated. “I’m coming back with a mega show. I’m about to break the internet over Jake Paul’s face.”

While the bout is officially at heavyweight, reports suggest Joshua has been issued a weight limit of 245 lbs for the eight-round contest. The odds are heavily stacked against Paul, with Joshua entering the bout as a significant betting favorite (around -1200).

Global Streaming on Netflix

In a move that continues to shake up the boxing landscape, “Judgment Day” will be streamed live globally on Netflix with no additional pay-per-view cost. The main card is set to begin at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT) on December 19th, with the main event ring walks expected around 10:30 PM ET.

The undercard features other compelling matchups, including Alycia Baumgardner vs. Leila Beaudoin for the Unified Super Featherweight World Championship, and a return to the ring for UFC legend Anderson Silva against Tyron Woodley in a cruiserweight bout.

As fight week begins, the boxing world is divided: Is this a reckless move for Paul, or a daring attempt to solidify his transition from celebrity to legitimate prizefighter? On December 19th, we will have the answer.
