Timeless! Jamie Vardy Hits New Milestone Only Bettered by Cristiano Ronaldo

Jamie Vardy has once again proven that age is just a number when it comes to performing at the highest level, with the former England striker reaching a remarkable new milestone.

Vardy, 38, who is currently on the books of Serie A side Cremonese, has matched a record that is bettered only by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Leicester City frontman has now scored 150 career goals across Europe’s top five leagues, a landmark achievement he will undoubtedly cherish.

In an extraordinary statistic, 116 of those 150 goals have come after the age of 30, underlining his longevity and consistency. Vardy netted 145 goals for Leicester City, including a 23-goal haul in the 2019–20 season, which earned him the Premier League Golden Boot.

Since joining Cremonese as a free agent in the summer of 2025, Vardy has scored five goals, with his latest coming in a 2–2 draw against Cagliari. That strike took him to the impressive milestone.

The former England international enjoyed his prime years at Leicester, scoring 200 goals in 500 appearances and famously helping the club secure the Premier League title in 2016.

Only five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has surpassed Vardy’s output after the age of 30, with the Portuguese forward scoring 290 goals in Europe’s top five leagues since reaching that age.

Vardy remains determined to continue competing at the highest level. His contract with Cremonese includes an option for a 12-month extension, and he is keen to earn that additional year.

Speaking upon his arrival in Italy, Vardy responded to a reporter who questioned what he could offer while approaching 40:

“You must be one of the doubters. You’re one that I’ll have to prove wrong.

“For me, age is just a number. As long as my legs are doing what they’ve always done and still feel as fresh as they do, I’ll carry on. At the moment, there are no signs of them slowing down, so I’ll keep going and give my all for this club.”
