Former Real Madrid manager set to replace David Moyes at West Ham

Former Real Madrid manager, Julen Lopetegui has been tipped to replace David Moyes at West Ham United during the summer.

David Moyes has been under heavy criticism this season with fans not happy about his team style of play despite ranked among the top ten teams on Premier League table.

Julen Lopetegui is reportedly the favourite despite West Ham being linked to Sporting Lisbon manager, Ruben Amorim.

Amorim is the alternative name on a two-man shortlist – but his £12.8million release clause is currently a significant obstacle. However, discussions with Lopetgui have been positive and will continue into next week having impressed Hammers representatives.

Wolves’ improvement under Lopetegui following his arrival in 2022 is said to have been one of the key factors in his emergence as a serious contender for the job.

Lopetegui’s history of improving teams that is understood to have attracted the Hammers and it’s left to see what happens if he gets the job.
