‘New Beginning’: England star urged to leave Man Utd after Euro 2024 heartbreak

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been urged to leave the Premier League outfit following his ommison from England’s Euro 2024 provisional squad.
Rashford has endured a torrid season, scoring just eight goals for Erik ten Hag’s team all season.
His form and behavior on and off the pitch has been criticised by fans. However, former Liverpool defender José Enrique believes a new adventure will help Rashford.

José Enrique in a recent interview with Grosvenor Sport stated that Rashford’s current predicament at United might warrant a drastic change of scenery.
The former Liverpool defender said: “I don’t think that Marcus Rashford has had a good enough season to deserve to be in the England squad.”
Enrique does not mince words about Rashford’s need for a new beginning: “In my opinion, he 100% has to leave Manchester United.”
Speaking further, Enrique noted that the pressures of being a constant figure under the media’s watchful eye seem to have taken their toll on Rashford.
Enrique points out, “There’s too much pressure on his shoulders now and people are criticising him too frequently.” It’s a sentiment many players can likely empathize with, but for Rashford, the intensity of this scrutiny at a club like Manchester United is magnified.
He added that a move to clubs in leagues such as Italy’s Serie A or Spain’s La Liga could provide the necessary change of pace and style. “I think maybe he could go abroad… in order for us to see the best version of him again,” Enrique speculates.
