Man City given five days to complete ideal £51m Kevin De Bruyne replacement transfer

Manchester City are reportedly looking to replace Kevin De Bruyne during this summer transfer window after the Belgian endured an injury spell during 2023/24 season.
Linked to Man City as De Bruyne perfect replacement is RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo who has shone brightly at Euro 2024. The 26-year-old leads the race to win the EURO 2024 Golden Boot with three goals, with his two assists seeing him lead the four other players locked on three goals in the competition.
Olmo has attracted interest from Man City and other top clubs this summer. His performances at the European Championships prove he will be a great addition to any team.

Man City have now received a positive update on Olmo’s contract.
It has emerged Olmo has a release clause of around £51million in his current contract with the German side which expires in five days’ time. If City do want to make their move, they may have to do so quickly if they are to avoid paying more.
Olmo still has three years on his deal at Red Bull Arena and has been identified as a long-term replacement for City star Kevin De Bruyne, who continues to be linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
De Bruyne, wants to stay at City and is keen to open talks over a new deal with his current contract set to expire next summer.
City don’t want to lose him either but are aware that Saudi clubs have the ability to come in with an offer they can’t refuse. Riyad Mahrez was in a similar situation last summer before moving to Al-Ahli for £30million.
De Bruyne remains one of City’s best players but any departure would be more palatable if they can replace him with a creative midfielder of Olmo’s ability.
