Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing French midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer this summer.

Rabiot is currently a free agent after departing Italian giants Juventus when his contract expired at the end of last season. The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has since attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Spanish side Real Madrid and German giants Bayern Munich.

However, according to Italian outlet CalcioMercato via The Evening Standard, Liverpool are also one of a number of clubs chasing French midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Liverpool have joined the race as they seek a replacement for Thiago Alcantara.

During a five-year spell in Turin, Rabiot made a total of 212 appearances across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and registering 15 assists.

He has also been a regular in the France national team for some time now, tallying up 48 senior caps for his country.

New manager Arne Slot is yet to make a signing since taking charge of the Reds, but it appears that Liverpool are seriously interested in signing Rabiot.
