Man City to cash out on £42million star, Premier League clubs show interest

Manchester City are looking at cashing out on midfielder Kalvin Phillips with a trio of Premier League clubs interested, however, only on a loan deal.
Phillips joined Man City from Leeds United for £42million two years ago and despite the hype surrounding his arrival, he has struggled to integrate into Pep Guardiola’s style of play at the Etihad Stadium.
The England international spent last season on loan at West Ham but failed to impress at the London club. He is now set for another loan move.

According to report, Everton, Ipswich Town and Fulham have all expressed interest in the 28-year-old over recent weeks as he looks to thrash out his immediate future.
Everton manager Sean Dyche is an admirer of Phillips, while Fulham and Ipswich are looking at bolstering their midfield ranks. Phillips is willing to move on from Man City as he hopes to revive his career.
Phillips did travel to City’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer and spent the final two games as a central defender.
However, he failed to make an appearance off the bench during Saturday’s Community Shield victory over Manchester United and Guardiola revealed that ‘Kalvin knows the situation’ as to his place among the squad.
Phillips still has four years left to run on his contract at City and its left to see what the summer transfer window holds for him.
