Barcelona wary of Lamine Yamal’s future despite impressive form

Lamine Yamal is currently one of the best youngsters in world football but Barcelona are concerned about the wonderkid.

Yamal burst into the spotlight at the tender age of 17 and has become an important player for Barcelona and the Spain national team. He helped La Roja win Euro 2024 in the summer and has broken a host of records for club and country.

However, latest report from Marca claim Barcelona have become concerned by his excessive prominence and fear he may not be able to control what happens to him.

The publication noted that Barcelona are now working hard to ensure Yamal is not overwhelmed by his rise to fame.

Yamal turned 17 in July but has continued to play above his age. He has been tipped as a future winner of the Ballon d’Or by Cristiano Ronaldo and former Barcelona striker Gary Lineker.

The youngster has also been nominated for this year’s award, although he is not expected to win. However, he is the top favorite to win the Kopa Trophy.

Yamal has been directly involved in 11 goals (three goals and eight assists) in 16 senior appearances for Spain in all competitions. He is destined to perform at the top and it’s left to see if he won’t be distracted.
