Endrick smashes Real Madrid’s 29 years record on Champions League debut

Brazilian forward Endrick has announced himself to European football with a stunning goal on his Champions League debut – and broken a club record in the process.

Endrick joined Real in July after agreeing to sign for them back in December 2022 and has been integrated into the first team rather than going on loan.

The 18-year-old officially scored on his La Liga debut in August after coming off the bench for a five-minute cameo against Real Valladolid and has taken that form into the UEFA Champions League.

Kylian Mbappe scored his first European goal for Los Blancos – and Antonio Rudiger made it 2-1 to Real but Endrick ensured all three points was secured when he added a third in the fifth minute of second half injury time in some style.

He picked up the ball in his own half before then charging at the Stuttgart defence. He then kept on running, and despite having Mbappe on his left and Vinicius Junior on his right, opted to go for it alone and let fly from 25 yards.

Though Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nubel will be disappointed not to keep it out, Endrick’s shot went into the back of the net to make it 3-1 to Real on the night.

The Brazilian forward in the process became Real’s youngest-ever Champions League goalscorer at 18 years, one month and 27 days old.

Endrick will be hoping his latest achievement will force his way into Real Madrid’s starting eleven with Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo currently Carlo Ancelotti’s most preferred front line.
