Manchester City set sight on Italian star as Rodri replacement

Manchester City are currently without Rodri who suffered a season ending ACL injury during the citizens 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the Etihad stadium.
Rodri who has grown to become the main man in City squad tore his ACL whole trying to create space for himself during a corner kick and willl now sit out of matches for the rest of the season.
A major blow for the Premier League champions, Pep Guardiola has reportedly set his sight on Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella as the perfect player to replace the injured Rodri.

According to Daily Star, Man City manager was impressed with Barella when Inter Milan traveled to the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League this month.
Barella will not come at a cheap price, the Italian midfielder recently signed a new contract with the Serie A winners and they have placed a price tag of around £75million on the 27-year-old.
Barella has what it takes to play at the highest, having prove himself with Inter and the Italian national team. City will have to wait till the January transfer window before making their approach.
Manchester City have found it hard to put up impressive performance since Rodri left the pitch against Arsenal. The Citizens were held to a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United as they failed to break down a well drilled Eddie Howe’s side.
This draw saw City lose their spot at the top to Arne Slot’s Liverpool side, who beat Wolves 2-1 at the weekend.
