Alejandro Garnacho risks Cristiano Ronaldo’s wrath over his latest action

Alejandro Garnacho is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and he has never been shy of showing his support and adoration to the Portuguese forward.

Garnacho play alongside eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi at international level but has made no secret of the fact that he is a passionate CR7 fan. He celebrates like Ronaldo and has continued to speak of his admiration for the former Manchester United star.

However, Ronaldo will be disappointed to learn that Garnacho has been training  alongside United colleague Facundo Pellistri – in an Al-Ittihad jersey.

Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad are one of their rivals.

Shocked fans have been reacting to a post on Instagram. @ReyesDeUniverso said: “His idol plays for Al Nassr, why’s he wearing Al Ittihad’s jersey?” Those sentiments were echoed by @Yemmie_, who said: “Why not Al Nassr’s jersey to support his idol????” Others suggested that Garnacho is looking for a move, with @tahyooo saying “he’ll be joining them in January” while @ChelsJayJay added “he wants that 500k a wk”.

Garnacho is yet to join United’s pre-season tour following his Copa America commitments, but is working on a fitness programme that will have him raring to go in 2024-25.
