Alexander Isak equals Newcastle record held by Alan Shearer

Arsenal top target Alexander Isak continued his incredible scoring streak with a goal against Tottenham Hotspur.
Isak has been in hot red form this season and this has attract attention from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United. The Swedish international continued his form on Saturday afternoon and this saw him equalled a club record held by Alan Shearer.
The Newcastle forward put Eddie Howe’s side in front seven minutes before half-time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Isak was in the right place at the right time as Jacob Murphy’s low cross was deflected onto him off Radu Dragusin. In scoring, Isak has now found the net in each of his last seven Premier League appearances.
He is the third Newcastle player to achieve the feat, following in the footsteps of Shearer and Joe Willock.
The club’s all-time top scorer Shearer scored in seven straight matches between September and November 1996.
Meanwhile, Willock did the same during his initial loan spell at St. James’ Park in April and May 2021.
Isak will have the chance to break the club record in Newcastle’s next league match at home to Wolves on January 15.
