Barcelona superstar reportedly fit for Girona clash despite injury scare

Barcelona are currently flying high in La Liga winning their first four matches and they hope to continue in similar form when club football resume after the international break.

However, Barca fans received a huge shock when summer signing Dani Olmo was substituted during Spain’s UEFA Nations League game against Serbia.

During that match, he was replaced by Joselu. The reason for his substitution was due to a significant blow he received in a clash with an opponent. However, Olmo is expected to be fit for Barcelona.

According to a report from SPORT, Dani Olmo is expected to be fit and ready to play in the upcoming match against Girona. Although the blow was impactful, the decision to remove him from the game was precautionary.

Olmo played no part in Spain’s second match against Switzerland and this was to ensure he did not suffer any further risk.

Medical tests were carried out on the Spanish midfielder and this confirmed that there was no serious injury, but the pain was enough for him to be cautious and avoid any unnecessary risks.

Olmo has played a crucial role in Barcelona’s great start to the season. The Catalonia club have won all 12 points available so far in the season.

He made his season debut against Rayo Vallecano, coming on as a substitute and scoring a goal. He followed that up with another goal in the comfortable victory over Valladolid.

Olmo has quickly become a key figure in Barcelona’s squad after being highlighted as the star signing during the summer transfer window.
