Chelsea £38.5m star wants to quit Stamford Bridge, sets sight on Aston Villa move

Chelsea are likely to be without Axel Disasi for the remainder of the season with the French defender willing to quit Stamford Bridge for Aston Villa.

Disasi has been a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge under Enzo Maresca and has started just four Premier League games this campaign. Despite arriving at Chelsea in the summer of 2023 for £38.5million, the former Monaco defender is seeking a new challenge.

According to the latest report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Disasi has agreed personal terms with Villa following a direct talk with Emery.

The defender is attracting interest from a host of clubs around Europe but wants to join the west Midlands side. And he will get his move if Chelsea and Villa can reach a full transfer agreement.

Disasi has been unable to force his way into Maresca’s plans, despite the fact the Blues have been hit with a string of injury setbacks in central defence.

With the London club currently without Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, Enzo Maresca opted to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell with Crystal Palace earlier this month.

Chalobah has started Chelsea’s last two league matches, with Disasi only featuring for 13 minutes in those clashes. And the Frenchman’s time in the capital could be coming to an end.
