Chelsea star set for remain in Premier League despite limited game time
Chelsea youngster Lesley Ugochukwu is set to continue his loan spell at Southampton despite failing to get a starting spot.
Ugochukwu was loaned out to Southampton in the summer but has found limited opportunities. His team have also failed to play at the highest level and might be relegated back straight to the championship.
Despite all the happenings around the club, Ugochukwu’s immediate future now seems to be to remain with the team until then at least.
Ugochukwu found minutes hard to come by under previous manager Russell Martin, starting just two league games in four months, but that’s no longer the case.

Obviously, it’s only been a couple games, but Ugochukwu started Jurić’s first match in charge and made an impact as a substitute in the second. Jurić is cognizant of the 20-year-old’s injury issues that saw him miss five months last season with a hamstring problem, but it looks like he’s set for a much bigger role going forward.
Southampton look like a team going down and it’ll take lots of effort from the club players and staff to help them retain their status.
Ugochukwu will also be looking to increase his playing time as Chelsea also boast of quality players who are seeking a starting spot under Enzo Maresca.
A successful loan spell at Southampton might open doors for Ugochukwu at Chelsea or else he might end up playing at another club next season.
