‘Pass of the decade’: Chelsea star hailed for insane passing skill against Newcastle
Chelsea saw off Newcastle United in their last Premier League match with Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer on the score sheet.
However, it was Palmer who proved unstoppable as the England international displayed various skills before and after scoring the winning goal. Palmer was also involved in the opening goal as his insane pass set Pedro Neto up.
Former striker and television pundit McCoist has now admitted that he was left stunned by Palmer’s vision in the build-up to the goal and feels that he has a claim to be the best player in the Premier League currently.

McCoist told talkSPORT BET: “There’s a debate to be heard that Cole Palmer is the best player in the Premier League. Some people will say that he is and I’d have to agree with them! He produced the pass of the decade against Newcastle for Nicolas Jackson’s goal. He turns, plays the ball inside Tino Livramento, Jackson finishes it off, and before the ball hits the back of the net my son calls me and I just said immediately to him: ‘That’s the pass of the decade’.”
Palmer has become unstoppable in all of Chelsea’s Premier League match this season and he’ll be eager to continue the good form when the Blues face off with Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford.
