Chelsea agree deal worth £51.4m to sign Wolves winger Pedro Neto
Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly agree a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto.
Chelsea have been on the hunt for a new wide forward all summer and were linked to former Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. However, the France winger opted to join Bayern Munich.
The London club have now switched their attention to Neto.
News of a potential move was first revealed by Fabrice Hawkins and later backed up by numerous sources as details of the negotiations between the two clubs began to be made public.
The Athletic note that Chelsea have agreed to pay an initial €60m (£51.4m) to sign Neto, with a further €3m (£2.6m) in potential add-ons.
A medical is expected to be held shortly, with Neto on track to become the ninth player to make the move to Chelsea this summer. Chelsea have also struck a deal to sign Palmeiras winger Estevao in 2025.
Neto has proved himself in the Premier League but has struggled with injuries. The Portuguese 20 Premier League appearances last season was his highest return since 2020/21. Despite the injury hit season, Neto had an impressive return of nine assists and two goals from 20 games.
Chelsea have already signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo this summer and it seems Neto will join the list in the next few hours.
