‘Injury trouble for Man Utd’: Erik ten Hags’ favorite withdraw from national team

Published on

Manchester United are currently going through a tough phase with Erik ten Hat’s team failing to perform at a high level as well as losing some important players to injury.

Harry Maguire was taken off the pitch in Manchester United’s goalless draw against Aston and it’s looking like the England international will be out for some weeks.

Maguire is now set to be joined by Alejandro Garnacho who has withdrawn from the the Argentina squad after a knee issue cropped in.

According to TYC Sports, Garnacho will not travel to Miami after being removed from Lionel Scaloni’s squad for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The winger reportedly felt discomfort in his left knee which prompted the Red Devils to prevent the youngster from joining up with the national team.

Garnacho has become an important figure in Erik ten Hags’ set up. This season, he has appeared in 11 matches across all competitions and has scored four times, providing three assists.

Manchester United want the youngster to take advantage of the international break and recover from the latest injury problem ahead of their upcoming league fixture.

Argentina are scheduled to face Venezuela away from home on Thursday before hosting Bolivia on October 16.

While Garnacho will be missed, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister has travelled to Miami despite suffering an injury during the club’s latest league fixture against Crystal Palace.
