Erling Haaland signs nine-and-a-half year Maon City contract
Erling Haaland has put an end to speculations linking him with a move to Real Madrid by signing an incredible nine-and-a-half year contract extension with Manchester City.
Undoubtedly one of the best goalscorers in the world of football, this new deal will keep Haaland at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2034.
Haaland’s previous deal with Man City was scheduled to expire at the conclusion of the 2026–27 campaign but it was first reported on Friday morning that the Norway international has agreed to an unprecedented nine-and-a-half-year contract.
Confirmation swiftly followed that Haaland has signed on new terms that will keep him at Etihad Stadium until he turns 34.

Haaland told City’s club channels: “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great Club. Manchester City is a special Club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.
“I also want to thank Pep [Guardiola], his coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at the Club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years. They have made this such a special place to be and now I am City no matter what. I want to keep developing, keep working to get better and look to do my best to try and help us achieve more success going forward.”
Haaland joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022 from Borussia Dortmund and has been a major success with the side as he has won two Premier League titles, one Champions League and one FA Cup.
The Norwegian has also scored 111 goals and provided 15 assists in just 126 matches, while he has been the top scorer in the top five European leagues over the last three years.
