Arsenal’s Premier League chances predicted after Chelsea draw

Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening. The draw means Mikel Arteta’s side are now nine points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
Having finished in second place last season, Arsenal are tipped to win the Premier League this season but the emergence of Liverpool proves the North London club might have to wait on the queue.
After 11 games played, Arsenal are also still four points behind Manchester City who have also been in bad form. Pep Guardiola’s side have lost four games in a row in all competitions – a first in the Spanish tactician career.
Arsenal’s performance after the November international break will play a key role in their pursuit of success and Alan Shearer believes they have what it takes to win the league.
Speaking with Gary Lineker on ‘The Rest is Football’ podcast, Alan Shearer was still in a positive mood about Arsenal’s chances of ending their Premier League wait.

Shearer thought the draw at Chelsea was a strong result and stated that it would be far too soon to rule Arteta’s team out just yet.
Speaking on the podcast, Lineker initially said: “Nine points behind Liverpool, Arsenal. That’s a lot, isn’t it?”
Shearer replied: “Yeah it’s a lot. But I think they’re capable of going on a really good run and you would would hope, from their point of view, they’ve got through their injuries a couple of weeks back, come back after the international break and go on a four or five game run where they can win every game and they can do that.
“So I wouldn’t rule Arsenal out just yet. I think it was a decent result for them today, getting their point – it would have been a disaster if they had been beaten.
“But getting their point, I still wouldn’t rule them out.”
Arsenal fans will be positive the players can get back to their best after the international break.
Arteta’s team have already gone to Aston Villa, Man City, Tottenham Hotspur and now Chelsea, meaning there could still be hope for the reverse fixtures.
