Chelsea duo return to training ahead of FA Cup semi-final showdown with Man City

Chelsea are set to face Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final and their chances of winning have been boosted with the return of two injured players.

Mauricio Pochettino has failed to have his full squad available this season with various players having injury problems.

However, Chelsea might welcome back midfielder Enzo Fernandez and center-back Axel Disasi for the clash against Manchester City.

The pair both missed Chelsea’s 6-0 win over Everton through various issues but were spotted in the Blues’ training photos on Wednesday.

Chelsea are seeking to turn their season around by reaching the domestic cup competition final.

Fernandez and Disasi have played an important role in Chelsea this season and Pochettino will be glad to have them back.

Robert Sanchez, Raheem Sterling, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana, Reece James, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, and Lesley Ugochukwu also missed the Everton game through injury and Pochettino is unlikely to have many of that group available against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Chelsea are currently placed ninth on the Premier League table with the FA Cup their only chance of winning a trophy this season.
