Chelsea suffer huge injury blow as star forward is ruled out of Villa clash

Premier League side, Chelsea are currently having a season to forget and they need positive result in the last five matches to have a chance of playing European football next season.

Mauricio Pochettino have been forced to play most of this season match without some key players and that will continue when they face Aston Villa.

According to latest report, Raheem Sterling will miss Chelsea’s Premier League game against Aston Villa due to injury.

Reports claim the English winger is suffering from lower back pain and is therefore ruled out of Saturday evening’s game at Villa Park.

Sterling has failed to impress at Chelsea since he joined from Manchester City. The 29-year-old has now been linked with a summer move.

His latest injury setback might also play a part in the club decision and there is a genuine possibility that Sterling could have already played his last competitive match for Chelsea.

Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City two years ago and has three years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

He England international has scored 17 goals and registered 12 assists in 78 games in all competitions.
