Mohamed Salah looking to equal Liverpool’s 10 years record

Mohamed Salah is currently in the form of his life and he might equal a Reds record set a decade ago when Arne Slot’s side face Everton in Saturday’s Premier League Merseyside derby.
Despite being in the news over his contract situation at Liverpool, Salah has been responding with goals and assists on the pitch. The former Roma forward currently have a direct hand in 27 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions.
Salah is now on the lookout to equal a Liverpool record currently held by Daniel Sturridge.
The former Chelsea man has scored and assisted in 37 different Premier League matches, surpassing Wayne Rooney’s previous record of 36, and he has found the back of the net in seven top-flight games on the spin.
Aston Villa, Manchester City, Southampton, Brighton & Hove Albion, Arsenal and Chelsea have all had their defences breached by Salah over the past two months, and he has not drawn a blank in the Premier League since the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in early October.

Salah is now seeking to score in eight straight Premier League matches for the first time in his career, and if he manages that feat on Saturday, he will become just the second Liverpool player to do so after Sturridge.
Sturridge struck in eight successive Premier League matches during the 2013-14 campaign, coincidentally starting that sequence in a Merseyside derby at Goodison Park in November 2013.
The ex-Liverpool striker was on target against Stoke City, Aston Villa, Everton (again), West Bromwich Albion, Arsenal, Fulham and Swansea City. However, the streak was then snapped in a 3-0 win at Southampton in March 2014.
Sturridge failed to score or assist in that match.
Meanwhile, if Liverpool manager Arne Slot mastermind a victory on Saturday, he will become the first Liverpool boss to win their first Merseyside derby when it has taken place at Goodison Park since Kenny Dalglish in 1985.
