Napoli sets sight on Garnacho, Karim Adeyemi as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia replacement

Napoli are set to lose Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this January transfer window with PSG willing to agree a transfer fee with the Italian side.

Kvaratskhelia played a huge role in Napoli’s success over the years but he’s expected to complete a permanent move to PSG for a fee in excess of €70m. The Georgian has left Napoli’s training ground and is expected to head over to Paris on Tuesday.

Ahead of a formal announcement, Napoli are now on the lookout for a perfect replacement with Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi being considered.

Over the weekend, it was reported that Antonio Conte has identified Manchester United’s Garnacho as his preferred option to replace Kvaratskhelia.

Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna reportedly met with Garnacho’s agent in Barcelona, but there could be issues regarding a transfer fee.

The Partenopei have reportedly prepared an offer in the region of €45m, made up of €40m plus bonuses, but Manchester United are seeking a significantly higher fee.

Various reports claim United will seek a fee around the €70m mark, if not even higher. Napoli are now considering a deal to be done with Borussia Dortmund for 22-year-old forward Karim Adeyemi.

Adeyemi will be available for a fee in the region of €40m after falling slightly out of favour at Signal Iduuna Park this season.

The Germany international has been limited him to just six starts in the Bundesliga this term. There are claims he will also be eager to start afresh in a new league.
