‘Flicks’ Magic’: Pedri reveals the key to Barca’s success under Hansi Flick

Barcelona midfielder Pedri has revealed the key to the teams success under Hansi Flick as the German tactician continue to impress in his first season at Barca.
Flick replaced Xavi Hernandez as Barcelona manager in the summer and has been able to turn the team around. Following their impressive 4-0 win against Real Madrid in the last El Classico, Barca defeated Espanyol 3-1 on Sunday.
The victory means Barcelona are now nine points clear, and Pedri says the whole team deserves credit.

“The key is the intensity we put into the games, the defensive line is doing a spectacular job and, when we have the ball, we have the chance to have a lot of chances,” he told reporters.
“The players we have upfront set our style: when you see how Lamine plays one-on-one or when you send a ball into space to Raphinha… the players do what they want. They are in a sweet moment.”
Pedri is also enjoying a rich vein of form and spoke about how hard he’s had to work behind the scenes to get in great shape.
“There is a lot of work that you don’t see. When you’re out, you try to do everything you can to come back well: that’s why it hurts when criticism rains down on you,” he added
“I think I’ve improved in work, in nutrition… I have looked for many ways to change to have continuity and, now, I am happy to feel good physically.”
Pedri has played an important role in Hansi Flicks’ team and he’ll be eager to continue the run. The Spain international faces a stiff competition from the likes of Fermin Lopez, Frenkie de Jong and Gavi.
