Vinicius Jr. has been backed to continue playing at Real Madrid despite numerous report linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian star in the past few months have been caught up in various controversies and this includes the stunt pulled by Real Madrid during the Ballon d’Or award.
Vini Jr.’s action on the field of play has also been on the spotlight with the Brazilian a target for some opposing fans. However, La Liga president Javier Tebas believes Vini Jr will continue at Real Madrid despite being offered a lucrative deal from the Middle East.
“I have read a lot of things, that he will leave and that he will go. I don’t know and I hope that Vinicius Jr. will continue in La Liga because he is one of our great players,” he began, admitting that he hoped the player would stay.
Tebas then went on to name the best players in the league alongside Vinicius Jr and how each one of them was critical in holding up the name and pride of La Liga.
“Like Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Mbappe. Sometimes we forget about them. Bellingham was the best player last season. Griezmann and Julian at Atletico. There are great players who are having a very good season, and if they leave, others will come.”
Finally, he gave his verdict on how he saw the Real Madrid star’s story continuing, admitting that he felt the player would stay.
“I think Vinicius will stay because the players want to play for a big club like Real Madrid.”
“I hope and believe that he will continue in La Liga,” he concluded.
