Former Arsenal star seeks Premier League return as club set price tag
It’s set to be a big summer for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta hopes to build on his team Premier League success last season by bringing in new talents.
While the Premier League side have been linked with various players including France International and Roma star Manu Kone, Mikel Arteta could come up against one of the Gunners former player next season.
According to reports, United States men’s national team star Folarin Balogun is expected to seek a move away from Monaco during the summer transfer window.
The Arsenal academy graduate has reportedly attracted substantial interest from England, prompting the Ligue 1 club to establish a firm valuation for their asset as internal contract negotiations stall.
Balogun has established himself as a reliable goalscorer in France with 31 goals in 91 appearances.

He has also continue the good form at the World Cup, helping the United States secure a place in the round of 32.
According to The Athletic, Balogun is seeking a move away from the French principality this summer as the striker favours a change of scenery.
The Athletic adds that the frontman’s impressive consistency and technical profile have made him a primary target for several heavyweights across the English top flight.
Premier League suitors have already initiated exploratory talks regarding his availability.

Seria A teams have also shown interest in the forward and it’s left to see who will meet Monaco’s valuation of the player.
Monaco executives are holding out for a lucrative €50m package, ensuring they net a €20m profit on their original investment.
Balogun’s performance at the ongoing World Cup has given Monaco another edge.
The striker’s clinical double against Paraguay saw him become the first American male player to score twice in a game at a World Cup since 1930, dramatically increasing his market value.
