Leicester City star ruled out for rest of season with ACL injury

Leicester City have joined the league of clubs set to be without their players due to an ACL injury, the club confirmed the latest report on Thursday.
The Premier League side confirmed that winger Abdul Fatawu will be out of action for the rest of the season after sustaining an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury while playing for Ghana.
Fatawu, 20, picked up the knee injury while representing his country in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on Friday.

“It’s not good, it’s a serious injury,” Cooper said ahead of Leicester’s clash with Chelsea at King Power Stadium on Saturday.
“He’s had an ACL injury which is going to rule him out for the rest of the season. It’s a real blow, first and foremost for him.
“He’s a young player and having an ACL injury can be quite common, it’s part of football, but it’s still a serious injury. For it to happen at a young age is a blow for him and a blow for us.
“It’s difficult news, but now we need to get ourselves together and support him.
“He’s obviously a big talent and a young player who’s exciting. Every player his age has lots to learn but there is so much to be excited about with him.”
Fatawu has been a standout player for Steve Cooper’s struggling side, with the newly promoted Foxes sitting 15th in the Premier League table.
The promising winger helped Leicester get promoted last season and has made 11 appearances for the side in the current campaign.
On the positive side, Cooper has welcomed Patson Daka back to training, as well as Jamie Vardy, after missing Leicester’s visit to Old Trafford.
Facundo Buonanotte will be unavailable for Enzo Maresca’s return to Leicester, with the Argentinian playmaker having picked up a fifth booking of the campaign in the 3-0 loss to Manchester United before the international break.
