Liverpool dealt huge blow in bid to keep Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield, and the Reds faces a huge task of keeping him at the club.
Undoubtedly one of the best in his position, Arnold has been linked with a move away from Liverpool and latest reports claimed he has his heart set on a move this summer and has turned down several contract offers from Liverpool.
Arnold can speak to other clubs in January and Real Madrid are tipped as his proffered option despite PSG, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also willing to have him.
According to the Spanish publication SPORT, the right-back has already rejected a number of contract offers and will leave on a free in the summer.
The report suggests that Liverpool would be reticent to cash in on Alexander-Arnold in January unless a major bid is lodged and will hope the full-back has a change of heart in the second half of the season.
Also in similar situation are Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. Both players are yet to sign a new deal and are currently in the last 12 months of their contract.
Salah has been linked with Saudi Arabia clubs as the Egyptian might be tempted to start a new adventure in a league that has the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Nacho Fernandez and lots more.
Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk is yet to make a decision on his future at the club despite being the captain. The Holland international is reportedly on the radar of PSG and Bayern Munich.
