Bad to worse!! Manchester United record longest winless run for a decade

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United spell has gone from bad to worse as the Red Devils record another loss in the Premier League to Brentford.
Brought in to redeem United’s season after the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, Amorim has failed to hit the ground running as United lost their 12th Premier League match under the Portuguese against a resounding Brentford side.
The Red Devil’s 4-3 away at Brentford ensured they secured their worst-ever Premier League season.
United are now on a six-game winless run – something they haven’t achieved in ten years. The run, which has seen four defeats, is the worst since United did the same under Louis van Gaal in December 2015.
On that occasion, Van Gaal stopped the slide at the seven-game mark with a win over Swansea, where he would go on to finish the season with an FA Cup title.

Amorim is walking in similar path as United are one win or draw away from reaching this season’s UEFA Europa League final.
3-0 up against Athletic Bilbao before the return leg at Old Trafford, United are favourites to reach the final where they are likely to face Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
A worst-ever season is already confirmed for United, the Red Devils currently occupy 15th spot and would finish the season with their lowest-ever points total.
