‘NOT the greatest athlete’: Real Madrid doctor makes bold claim about Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes in the world of sport, having played at the highest level for the past twenty years.
Ronaldo, 39, has not shown any signs of slowing down, still at the top of his game as he continues to impress while competing for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.
However, a former doctor who worked alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid has admitted that the striker was not the greatest athlete that he has ever worked with.
Ronaldo has become popular for his hard work and dedication to work. The Portuguese forward has maintained a high level of fitness throughout his storied career, including during the Covid-19 lockdown when he turned up to Juventus training four hours early.
Despite all this attributes, Jesus Olmo, who worked closely with the player at Real Madrid, believes Gareth Bale is a more complete athlete.
“Possibly the best athlete I’ve seen is Gareth Bale,” Olmo told Spanish outlet Ideal in 2020.
“He’s a natural athlete capable of excelling at practically any sport. He has unusual genetics and athletic ability, and I would say technical ability as well.

“He’s the one who impressed me most in all aspects, although there is then performance, which comes about from different circumstances.”
Bale during his playing career was an exceptional player. He was popular for his pace, raw strength and physical capabilities, this attributes saw him terrorise defences and scoring all types of goals.
However, the Welsh playmaker hung up his boots in January 2023 at the age of 33 in order to try his luck at a new career in golf.
