The value of the clause has been reported to be around the €10-12 million mark.

Having notably won the Bundesliga title with Leverkusen last season, Alonso is reportedly willing to make the big move to Madrid, a club where he shone brightly as a player.

The arrival of Alonso at Madrid might also see the club make some huge move in the transfer window. Various report have claimed the likes of Florian Wirtz might be tempted to join the Madrid project.

Ancelotti currently have a huge task of saving Madrid’s season as the Los Blancos face Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final.
