Real Madrid rule out January loan exit for forward despite offers
Real Madrid will be forced to make some critical decisions during the January transfer window, with some players willing to explore other alternatives.
Topping the list of players likely to leave the Spanish giant is Brazilian forward Endrick. The young forward has been linked with a move to French Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Meanwhile, other senior players such as Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo Goes, Brahim Diaz, and Gonzalo Garcia who have been struggling for minutes under Xabi Alonso might consider the possibility of an exit.
Despite their desire to leave, fresh update from Guillermo Rai of The Athletic claim that Real Madrid have ruled out the possibility of loaning Gonzalo Garcia out in January.
This is despite the club receiving approaches for the 21-year-old forward, including one from Getafe, who wanted to sign him in the summer as well.
Gonzalo made a name for himself in the summer when he finished as the top scorer at the FIFA Club World Cup, making a big impression on Xabi Alonso.
Following his exploits, Real Madrid shut the doors on a summer exit and offered him a new contract and a first-team number.
However, since the start of the campaign, minutes have been difficult to come by for the Spaniard.
Gonzalo has played only 134 minutes across ten games for Real Madrid this term, averaging 13 minutes per appearance, and has only one assist against his name.
Endrick is allowed to leave in January but Los Blancos are reluctant to let Gonzalo leave as well. Alonso fully intends to keep the 21-year-old striker in his squad.
