Toni Kroos makes bold prediction about Barcelona La Liga chances

Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has made a bold prediction about Barcelona’s La Liga chances in the 2024/25 season.

Barcelona are set to go head to head with Real Madrid. Madrid last season won the league title but have endured a relatively slow start to the new season.

The reigning European champions were far from their best in the UEFA Super Cup tie against Atalanta, despite the 2-0 win. However, they played out a 1-1 draw against RCD Mallorca in the opening league game before getting back to winning ways against Real Valladolid.

Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against Valladolid, but the club achieved it without either Kylian Mbappe or Vinicius Junior performing to their full potential.

Despite Real Madrid’s slow start, however, former midfielder Toni Kroos has backed Los Blancos to secure the league title this season.

“Real Madrid will win the league, I have no doubt,” Kroos said in a recent media interaction.

Speaking about where Barcelona will end the season, Kroos suggested that there will be a close fight between the Catalonia club and Atletico Madrid for the second place.

Interestingly, Kroos expects Barcelona to finish below Atletico Madrid in the table come the end of the season. According to Kroos, Barcelona will finish third in La Liga this season.
