Xavi Hernandez called out for refusing to speak to highly-rated youngster

Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has stopped talking to Vitor Roque, the players agent claims.

Xavi Hernandez was on his way out of Barcelona at the end of 23/24 season but the Spaniard changed his mind and will continue guiding the team.

However, the Barcelona and Spain player turned manager Xavi has now made headline for his behavior towards 19-year-old Vitor Roque.

Last summer, Roque signed for Barcelona from Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense and was tipped to lead the attack.

However, he has find game time difficult and there are rumors he could be heading out on a loan move..

Now, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona star Vitor Roque’s agent has claimed that Xavi has stopped speaking to the player.

Romano wrote on social media: “itor Roque’s agent Cury: “It’s not logical to sign a Brazilian international, bring him here and start playing him from the first day – then another game and then no more…”.

“‘Then he scores two goals and then… disappeared. Xavi does NOT even talk to the boy.’”

Speaking on a potential loan move for his client, Vitor Roque’s agent noted that it will be a dangerous move for the youngster.

Vitor Roque’s agent Cury: “Loan this summer? No, it’s dangerous for a young player. In that case, it has to be a permanent move”.

“The best option would be to stay at Barça and play. But if Barça don’t let him play, we will need to look for another club”, told RAC1.

It was reported that the 19-year-old’s contract with the Catalan club contains a release clause of €500 million and it’s left to see what happens during the summer.
