Alexander Isak makes unwanted history as Liverpool setback continues
Alexander Isak has failed to live up to the hype that saw the Reds splash £125million on him during the summer as he continues to struggle on match days.
Liverpool were beaten 3-0 at home by Nottingham Forest in what is their sixth top flight defeat this season. Murillo, Nicolo Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White all netted for Forest to pile further misery on Liverpool’s title defence.
It’s the first time since August 2015 that Liverpool have conceded three or more goals and not scored during a Premier League match at Anfield.
While it was not good for the reigning Premier League champions, Isak also failed to make an impact in the game.
With just one goal coming in his nine appearances, Isak started against Forest and was substituted in the 68th minute as Liverpool trailed by two goals.

It was his fourth league start for the Reds, and all four of them have ended in defeat, an unwanted record.
Isak has become the first Liverpool player in Premier League history to lose in all of his opening four starts. Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Manchester United and now Forest have won all three points when the Swede appeared from the off.
The 26-year-old forward had just one shot all game against Forest, but it didn’t hit the target.
Liverpool are currently eight points behind league leaders Arsenal. However, this gap will increase to 11 should the Gunners beat their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.
A bad day for Isak and his teammates, the Reds will be eager to bounce back on Wednesday when they face PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League before traveling to West Ham next weekend.
