Barcelona financial crisis: Joan Laporta opens up on Barca’s current situation

Barcelona are currently going through a hard time off the pitch due to their finances. The club have been forced to sign players on free transfer as well as let go some players to bring in new ones.
However, Barcelona president Joan Laporta firmly believes that the club is on the verge of putting it’s financial woes behind them.
As per Sport, Barcelona president Laporta spoke to Barca One on this, and he provided hope that things will soon return to normal.
“Today, the club makes money. When we arrived, we pushed the levers to meet urgent commitments and to improve the workforce. We gave traction, but the wound was open. Today we can say that Barcelona earns more than we spend. We have 41% more income and 22% less spending. This is very important.
“We have a turnover of more than 70% compared to before. There have been extraordinary losses, but we are convinced that, in the end, our assets will be productive. Barcelona’s economy is evolving. It is not a still photo. I am calm. It will end up giving results. We have healed the wound.”
Barcelona fans will be glad to hear the latest from President Laporta. The club are doing brilliantly in the league will reportedly move back to Camp Nou in 2025.
The club finance played a role in their business last summer with Dani Olmo the only experience player joining the club. Fans will be anticipating the new era where Barcelona will compete on and off the pitch.
