Barcelona pull out of Joshua Kimmich race, set to priorities youngster

Barcelona have made their final decision on the transfer of Joshua Kimmich from Bayern Munich to the Catalonia side in the summer.
Kimmich has been linked with a move to Barcelona for the past few season. However, the Spanish club have failed to reach an agreement with Bayern.
Though the arrival of former Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick was meant to propel the deal, Barcelona have decided to pull out of the deal following Marc Casado’s rise to prominence.
Marc Casado has rose to stardom under the guidance of Hansi Flick with his sheer composure on the ball and his innate game-reading ability as a holding midfielder one of his best attributes.

Latest reports from El Nacional has now revealed that Casado’s form has led Barcelona to end their pursuit of Kimmich.
Flick has utilised Barcelona’s academy since he arrived at the club with Casado one of the biggest beneficiaries.
Casado was initially overlooked in favour of the highly-rated Bernal, but a long-term injury to the latter opened the door for the former to stake his claim.
Though himself hinted at a potential move to Barcelona with his contract expiring in June 2025, Barca are placing their bets on the 21-year-old Casado over Kimmich, who’ll turn 30 in February.
