‎Former Burnley manager, Kompany was taken to hospital on Friday after worryingly collapsing while watching a session involving Bayern’s second team.

‎Bayern released a statement to clarify the situation then as it’s noted that their manager required medical attention.

‎Danks has now revealed that Kompany “is in good spirits” but could not offer an update on a potential return to work for the Belgian.

‎”I paid him a short visit yesterday,” Danks told reporters on Tuesday.

‎”He is in good spirits. It looks like every day he is getting better. There are no major updates in terms of diagnosis or return to work. Let him rest, let him take his time.

‎”We had some good conversations (with Kompany) but kept it away from football and specific tactics. It was just a friendly chat and nice to see him and catch up.”

‎Despite not being in the dugout for their last match, Bayern defeatedFreiburg 3-1 in the Bundesliga on Sunday. The team will next be in action against Magdeburg in the German Cup on Wednesday night.

‎Following their game on Wednesday night, Borussia Dortmund await Bayern in the Bundesliga on October 31 before they face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

‎Bayern are currently top of the Bundesliga table but are level on points with second-placed Dortmund ahead of this weekend’s clash between the two sides.
