Bayern Munich suffer Jamal Musiala injury blow as Kompany faces first huge test

Bayern Munich will have to play their new game against Eintracht Frankfurt without Jamal Musiala as Vincent Kompany faces a huge task.

Musiala has continued his good form for Bayern Munich but he will sit out of this weekend’s game due to an hip injury, the club confirms.

The youngster has also pulled out of the Germany squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands. However, Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann has called VfB Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling as his replacement.

Musiala’s injury is a blow for Bayern Munich as they look to return to winning ways after suffering their first defeat of the season on Wednesday against Premier League side Aston Villa.

The 21 year old has made an excellent start to the season, and has three goals and three assists to his name in eight appearances across all competitions.

It is thought that Musiala suffered the injury during last weekend’s home game against Bayer Leverkusen but it’s surprising he came off the bench against Aston Villa.

Vincent Kompany will have to make some changes to his starting eleven with one of Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman could replace Musiala in the starting XI.
