Bayern Munich sends clear transfer message to Man City, Real Madrid over Jamal Musiala

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has insisted that the club are determined to keep hold of in-demand attacker Jamal Musiala.

Musiala is widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Europe. The former Chelsea youngster has established himself as a key player for club and country.

The versatile attacker has continued to be linked with top clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Bayern president Hainer has now made his feelings clear on Musiala’s future. According to him, Bayern Munich are keen for the youngster to stay and become a club legend like long-serving attacker Thomas Muller.

Speaking to journalist Mano Bonke for German news outlet Tz, Hainer said: “We want to try everything to keep him as long as possible.

“In my opinion, he could become the second Thomas Muller and play for FC Bayern for the next 20 years.”

Musiala represented both Southampton and Chelsea during his youth career, however, he returned to Germany with Bayern in 2019 and made his senior debut for the club as a 17-year-old in 2020.

Musiala has since made a total of 166 first-team appearances for Bayern across all competitions, scoring 44 goals and providing 31 assists, including 12 goals and eight assists in 38 games last season.
