Champions League last-16: PSG star Ousmane Dembele fires warning to Liverpool

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has issued a strong warning towards Liverpool ahead of their Champions League round of 16 first-leg match on Wednesday.

Former Barcelona winger Dembele is in hot form as the France international continue his scoring form on Sunday. Dembele scored his 18th Ligue 1 goal on Sunday and is leading the Ligue 1 Golden Boot race.

Having played an important role in the 4-1 victory over Lille on Sunday, Dembele is eager to get put in another impressive performance against Liverpool.

Speaking to DAZN after the Lille clash, Dembele said: “We played a very good game today. We are preparing well for what is to come (Liverpool). Since the beginning of the season, (Luis Enrique) has been telling us to play good football. Everyone is participating, whether it’s the midfielders, defenders or attackers. Everyone wants to be decisive. We are in a very good dynamic, we will try to keep it as long as possible. We are having a blast! Everyone attacks, everyone defends. We are a very united team, that gives results like that. It’s just fun for 90-95 minutes.”

He added: “We know it’s going to be a tough match. It’s the Champions League. Liverpool finished first, they’re also confident. It’s going to be a great show.”

While PSG are in a good form, they will be coming up against an inform Liverpool squad.

Arne Slot’s men will be heading to Paris on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle United last week in the Premier League. The Reds are also 13 points above second-placed Arsenal and are the favourites to bag the league title.
