Cristiano Ronaldo makes decision on Al-Nassr future amidst MLS link

Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to extend his lucrative deal at Saudi Arabia and sign a new contract with Al-Nassr.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is to sign until June 2026, with his current deal having been set to end in the summer. The Portuguese forward is expected to receive £168million per year to continue with the Saudi Pro League side.

Ronaldo will see his income supplemented by signing bonus and commercial deals related to his image rights.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has notched 17 goals in 20 matches this season to maintain his value for the team on and off the pitch.

Reports claim Ronaldo was keen to get assurances that investment would be made in the side so that they prove to be a competitive team, according to reports.

Despite his goalscoring record for the team, Ronaldo has only claimed the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 and twice finished as runner-up domestically.

Ronaldo has urged Al-Nassr to sign Manchester United star Casemiro. It is reported that Casemiro will also be willing to join his former Real Madrid teammate.

A number of clubs from Saudi Arabia have been touted as destinations for Casemiro. However, Ronaldo’s influence will see Casemiro choose Al Nassr as both parties hope to reunite.

Casemiro has 18 months remaining on his United contract and has made more than 100 appearances for the club.
