Former Man Utd coach set to face sack after nine-game winless run

As Manchester United continue their preparation for the 2024/25 season under Erik ten Hag, their former assistant coach Eric Ramsay may be close to being relieved his duties after just a few months, with Minnesota United continuing to struggle in the MLS.
Ramsay worked under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford and made his first move into management alongside Kieran McKenna and Michael Carrick.
While Carrick and McKenna have both thrived in their roles with Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough, Ramsay has struggled in the MLS with Minnesota United.

In his first role as a head coach, Ramsay had led the team to an incredible start in the MLS with his team looking like a surprise contender in the Western Conference. But after a brutal run of six losses and three draws, Ramsey is under significant pressure to be removed.
Minnesota United are the most out-of-form team in the MLS, with Ramsay being reliant on goals from former Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki – who has himself struggled in recent weeks.
When Ramsay left United earlier this year, he’d been seen as the club’s most promising young coach – with the 32-year-old decided to take the job with the MLS outfit.
Despite their brutal nine-game winless streak, Minnesota remains in the hunt for the playoffs as they sit in ninth place in the Western Conference with the team having 10 games to go in the hopes of making the postseason.
Ramsay will be eager to turn things around and start brining in positive result.
The 32-year-old had turned down multiple opportunities in England before making the move to the MLS, reportedly having interest from Swansea City and Blackpool over the last year before joining Minnesota.
