Inaki Williams speaks on Nico Williams decision to shun Barcelona for Bilbao

Atletico Bilbao winger Nico Williams was a top target for Barcelona during the summer transfer window with the Catalonia side eager to have him on their team.
The 21-year-old was also linked with a move to the Premier League. However, he shunned all interest and decided to continue playing his trade at Atletico Bilbao.
Though there are reports he might still leave the club at the end of the current season, Nico Williams older brother, Inaki Williams has insisted that his brother made the right decision to shun Barcelona.
Speaking this week (via Sport), he gave a small insight about his brothers’ failed move to Barcelona.
“It was a very long, very hard summer (for him). It was a summer of having to make decisions. After several months, for me he has made the right one.”
Inaki is now looking ahead, and he is looking forward to playing alongside brother Nico in the Europa League.
“Now we have a dream to fulfil, like the whole team. There are few of us who have been lucky enough to play in European competition with Athletic Club, and now we are going to fulfil the dream of many.”
Nico Williams has been able to put the busy summer behind him by impressing every match day. It’s left to see if Barcelona will try to sign him during the January transfer window or next summer.
