Jack Grealish to train alone as £100m star looks to end Man City nightmare
England international Jack Grealish has returned to Manchester City for solo training sessions while he waits for a summer move away from the club.
The Citizens’ £100 million signing has been told he could leave the club. However, six weeks after being informed, Manchester City are yet to reach an agreement with any club despite Grealish attracting domestic and overseas interest.
Grealish was omitted from City’s Club World Cup squad earlier this summer, a move that meant his holiday is over as players who featured in the tournament get an extended break.
Latest report from The Telegraph has now claim Grealish has begun individual training at Manchester City’s training centre ahead of the squad’s full return on July 28.
Manchester City are reportedly open to a permanent sale but understand that loan offers may be more realistic. Grealish’s wages and valuation complicate matters for interested clubs, especially those outside England.
Napoli boss Antonio Conte is keen on him, while West Ham and Everton have also been linked with possible loan offers. Grealish will favour a loan if it ensures regular minutes and a path back to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
The report also suggested that Grealish has been working with personal trainer Jamie Reynolds to stay sharp during the off-season.
