John Terry has decided to sell some of the most prized assets from his playing days, including the kit he wore during Chelsea’s Champions League in 2012.
In what will still be remembered as the biggest day in Chelsea’s history, Terry was suspended for the final when the Blues beat Bayern Munich on penalties.
Despite not playing a minute in the game, Terry changed into a full kit for the trophy lift.
The former England International is now selling the kit, among many other items, in order to raise money for the John Terry Foundation which supports British charities.
Terry is also selling the kit he wore in the 2008 Champions League final against Manchester United. Chelsea lost that game on penalties with Terry slipping and skewing the potentially decisive penalty against the post.

Reflecting on the miss, Terry has said in the past: “I still think about my miss to this day. Honestly – not as often as I used to, but I still wake up and it’s there. I can see it.
“When you look back on your career, the trophies mean a lot but the ones you missed out on can haunt you and I won’t forget that one. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it.”
The most expensive item that Terry is selling is his Premier League winner’s medal from the 2004-05 season. He was captain in that season and Chelsea won their first title in 50 years.

The medal is thought to be valued at a staggering £75,000. The items are being sold through Goldin Auctions, an American company.
A spokesperson for the company said: “When considering the greatest defenders in the history of English football, Terry’s name can often be found at the forefront of the conversation.
“A stalwart and imposing presence on Chelsea’s vaunted back line, Terry quickly was anointed as the club’s skipper under newly arrived manager Jose Mourinho, a decision that proved wise beyond measure.
“We are proud to present a remarkable array of memorabilia sourced directly from John Terry’s personal collection, testaments to various stages of his illustrious and accomplished career.”
The items will be sold on December 31.
Terry said: “My foundation is going to benefit two close-to-my-heart charities which desperately need the money, so it is going to a great cause.”
Other items in the sale include shirts from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi which were exchanged at the end of games. Those two shirts could fetch £20,000.
Terry played for the Chelsea 717 times, captained the club over 500 times and won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups and the Champions League.
