Jude Bellingham sets new record ahead of England’s Euro 2024 adventure

Real Madrid playmaker Jude Bellingham has been ranked first on the list of players with the biggest release clause in Europe

Bellingham joined Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund last summer and has established himself as one of the biggest names in world football.

The England international is one of the favourites to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or award this season after his impressive debut season with Madrid.

Bellingham has now been listed among a number of players who have release clauses worth £871million – 1billion euros – in their contracts

According to TalkSport, the England man is one of a number of high-profile stars whose clause exceeds 1b euros.

The report also state that Barcelona stars Pedri, Gavi, Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres have similar release clauses to Bellingham, while Ansu Fati, who spent last season on loan at Brighton, has a clause that matches the Madrid star’s.

In the Premier League Pep Guardiola revealed that Kevin De Bruyne had a release clause of £223m, but it is unclear if that still remains since he signed his new deal in 2021.

Also tipped to win the Ballon d’Or this season, Vinicius Jnr reportedly has a release clause worth the same as Bellingham, with Eduardo Camavinga, also having the same as his Real Madrid team-mate.
